The profile of our enterprise - JSC Dedal-NV is design, production and sales of night vision systems:

Night vision devices;

Night vision rifle scopes;

Night anti-fog systems;

Equipment for night photo and video shooting.

Our night vision systems are successfully used in amateur and professional activity, including:

Night surveillance;

Patrolling and guarding;

Rescue and search missions;

Hunting and animal watching;

Police/Law enforcements;

Night photo and video shooting;

Navigational safety of ships.

Our enterprise Dedal-NV was created in 1991 (in the period of strong competition among 50 Russian enterprises that worked in night vision systems production) on the base of Russian state defense industry enterprise in the course of defense industry conversion. At the time being we are known as producers of night vision systems of high quality both in Russia and abroad. Some elaborations have not any world analogues.

Technological policy

Currently an enterprise produces more than 20 types of night vision devices and systems. From the moment of establishment an enterprise specializes on development of professional equipment, based on state-of-art image intensifier tubes (Gen. I up to III). We are specialized in creation of professional techniques based on the best Russian and foreign image intensifier tubes Gen. II+, Super Gen, III. We would like to note the following key factors that distinguish our devices from the competing Russian and foreign night vision systems:

 —  Careful approach to optics design. After a number of years many optic models have been made at the design stage. The sample models were produced and picture quality was analyzed, which enabled to evaluate night optics quality and to provide night vision equipment with high aperture optics.Just some examples:

 —  Having the same technical characteristics, our objective 100mmF/1.5 weighs twice less than an analogous objective of one of the best Russian producers;
 —  All night vision rifle scopes use a special eyepiece with big eyepiece relief distance, designed both for safe (at big calibers) and comfort observance through a hunting scope and for work with photo and video-camera. Night photography turns out to be as simple as day-time one. Pictures reflect the image from image intensifier tube without quality losses. Quality stays good not only in the centre of the picture, but near the margins as well.
 —  Our hunting scope day/night Dedal-NV-510 employs a specially designed optical scheme (23 lenses) that supports the 2-2.5 stronger light ratio, twice more wide vision range and total resolving in the whole range of electronic valve, differing it from competing foreign (American and Japanese) devices (11-13 lenses).
 —  Day/Night Rifle Sight +NV Monocular Dedal-DN-530 employs a special designed optical schema with the 1:1.5 aperture ratio providing a valuable night channel. The night eyepiece module can be used as independent hand held night vision device. This schema has not any world analogues.

 —  To electronics - employing in night vision devices of an authentic self-designed power supply with capacity of 1-3 mA (which is 10-20 times less than any Russian or foreign analogues). Currently we produce our own power supplies for vacuum blocks of tubes ( Gen. I, II, II+, III).

 —  Constant employment of new materials. For example, we were the first in Russia who used integral polyurethane foam for producing of night vision scopes bodies (Dedal-110, 120). We use for modern housings of night vision goggles DVS-8 and night vision rifle scopes Dedal-450, -480 strong composite field that combines high-strength, thermalphysic and insulating features.

 —  Serial production of the most powerful infra-red illuminators 75mW and 150mW eye-friendly and laser illuminators 50mW and 200mW.

 —  Series of night hunting scopes (Dedal-180, -270, -470, -480, -530) that exceed all known analogues in its weight and dimensions. For example, the scope Dedal-480 weighs just 830 grams, whereas competing analogues weigh 1.5-2 times more.

 —  All models of rifle scopes are tested on a shaker, in shooting gallery and in range shooting. Longevity tests confirm that the rifle scopes construction stands repeated shock loads (calibers .375 H&H, .416Rigby, .50). All rifle scopes pass 100% control on shock loads.

 —  Our enterprise was one of the first in Russia who produced night-vision scopes and rifle scopes on image intensifier tubes Gen. II+ and III and on XD-4, XR-5 (produced by the firm Photonis DEP (the Netherlands)). Combined with optics with extremely high light-ratio (with relative opening 1:1.0 and 1:1.2, 1:1.5), such devices provide excellent vision and observance distance (maximum possible now) under conditions of extremely low light (night clouded sky with no artificial lighting).

 —  Our enterprise has produced compact DM-740 - anti-fog active impact night-vision surveillance system. It is designed for surveillance and distance measurement in night-time, during fog, rain, snow, and smoke - i.e. where other surveillance systems would have been difficult to use.

 —  An experience in production of high-quality night-vision systems enabled our company to be the first in Russia who satisfied professional camera-men and supplied TV company «NTV» with night video-system for TV equipment of «Betacam» standard.

Design and production

Our enterprise is equipped with modern computer engineering techniques. Designing is executed in 3-D three-dimensional projection. Our company has a central Moscow office and its own production including practically the full technological cycle of device’s production: mechanical, optical, electrical, assembling department and technical quality administration with all necessary adjusting and metrological equipment.
